2019 SCTP National Championship Expense Reimbursement Program

PYSA has $5,000 availble to help offset expensives of PA shooters competing in the SCTP National Championship July 13-20, 2019

In order to be eligible for participation in this program the following conditions must be met:

  • The youth competitor must reside in Pennsylvania.
  • Competitor must complete and return a voucher package which includes a voucher form, match results with their name highlighted, and an IRS W-9 form. The Voucher Form is available here.
  • Voucher package must be received by PYSA no later than 30 days after competition ends.
  • The $5,000 pool of money will be equally divided between everyone that submits a voucher package, up to $250 per person. Check will be made payable to competitor.
  • If an individual receives $600 or more from PYSA in any calendar year, a 1099 form will be issued.


 

 

2019 SCTP/SASP National Championship IncentiveMidway USA Foundation

Make a donation to PYSA along with the SCTP/SASP Incentive Form at the 2019 SCTP/SASP National Championship.  PYSA board member Roger Beardsley will be at campsite # 852 and may be contacted at (717) 855–6185 .

Funds may come from any source (team, booster organization, individual, business, etc.). Your team may also return money raised from MidwayUSA Foundation Fundraising items, fulfilling your LOI commitment, through PYSA. Fundraising items are usually available for teams through MidwayUSA Foundation so please check their website for details www.midwayusafoundation.org/Fundraising

Donations made to PYSA are tax deductible under section 170 of the IRS Code.  Make your check payable to: Pennsylvania Youth Shooting Association, 326 Vanyo Rd, Berlin, PA 15530

  • The youth shooting team must made up of shooters primarily residing in Pennsylvania.
  • Team must be competing in the 2019 SCTP/SASP National Championship at Cardninal Shooting Center, July 13-29, 2019.
    • A completed Incentive Form along with a donation made payable to PYSA must be submitted at the event.
    • Any amount may be donated.  Donations will receive a 2:1 match by PYSA, up to $5,000. The MidwayUSA Foundation will match the team donation according to matching criteria published on its website (matching rate will vary each month).

Midway USA Foundation Endowment Matching ProgramMidway USA Foundation

PYSA, a 501(c)(3) public charity, is a state partner of the MidwayUSA Foundation. We work closely with them to help maximize donations to your MidwayUSA Foundation Endowment account.

Thanks to the generosity of Larry & Brenda Potterfield we have $55,000 to match donations made to Team Endowment Accounts.

Adopt-A-Team Program

This is a monthly recurring donation program.  Donors make a monthly donation via PayPal.  Donations continue automatically each month until donor cancels via the PayPal website.

Teams are encouraged to find multiple partners to "adopt" the team.   This can be friends, relatives, local buinesses, sportsman clubs, any person or organization with a PayPal account.

There are no specific amounts in this program, donor decides how much to donate.  Donations are tax deductible and donors will receive a letter at the end of the year stating their annual donation amount.

  • Each month donations will receive a 2:1 match by PYSA, up to $12,000 per year. The MidwayUSA Foundation will match the team donation according to matching criteria published on its website.
  • Program runs through the end of 2019 or when our funding pool has been exhausted.

 

 

R K Mellon Family Foundation Incentive for Western PA Shooting Sports Teams

This incentive program is offered in cooperation with the R.K. Mellon Family Foundation and the MidwayUSA Foundation.  The RK Mellon Family Foundation is making $20,000 in donations available.

This program is similar to our MidwayUSA Foundation Matching program, PYSA will match 1:1 (up to $5,000)

Team will also be eligible for a portion of a $20,000 funding pool provided by the RK Mellon Family Foundation. The funding pool will be divided by the total amount of all qualified team donations and each team will receive a pro-rated amount of the pool.

The MidwayUSA Foundation will also match the team‘s donation according to matching criteria published on the MidwayUSA Foundation website.

In order to be eligible for participation in this program the following conditions must be met:

  • The youth shooting team must be made up of shooters primarily residing in Western Pennsylvania in the 15XXX and 16xxx zip codes.
  • Team donates a minimum of $100 to PYSA.

Activity Drivers

PYSA is offering three activity drivers to encourage teams to increase their MidwayUSA Foundation endowment balance.

Three $5,000 pools of money will be available to teams that donate between January 1, 2019 and June 30, 2019.

In order to be eligible for these activity drivers, the team must participate in one or more of the above fundraising incentives, meeting all the conditions of that incentive.

  • The first pool will be split between the three teams that donate the most during the first six months of 2019. More than one donation may be made during this period of time. The top team will receive $2500, the second place team will receive $1500 and the third place team will receive $1000.
  •  
  • The second will be split into ten $500 bonuses. Every team that donates between January 1, 2019 and June 30, 2019 will receive one chance to win one of these bonuses. Winners will be selected by random draw.
  •  
  • The third will be divided into 15 bonuses ($1500, $1000, $750, $500, $250 & ten at $100). Teams that have made no contributions in 2017 or 2018 and new teams (opened MidwayUSA Foundation after January 1, 2019) are eligible for this activity driver. Winners will be selected by random draw.
