Midway USA Foundation Endowment Matching Program

PYSA, a 501(c)(3) public charity, is a state partner of the MidwayUSA Foundation. We work closely with them to help maximize donations to your MidwayUSA Foundation Endowment account.

Thanks to the generosity of Larry & Brenda Potterfield we have funding to match donations made to Team Endowment Accounts.

Send a donation to PYSA along with a Donor Form that identifies the team account to receive the funds.  Donations made to PYSA are tax deductible under section 170 of the IRS Code.  Make your check payable to: Pennsylvania Youth Shooting Association, 326 Vanyo Rd, Berlin, PA 15530

Funds may come from any source (team, booster organization, individual, business, etc.). Your team may also return money raised from MidwayUSA Foundation Fundraising items, fulfilling your LOI commitment, through PYSA. Fundraising items are usually available for teams through MidwayUSA Foundation so please check their website for details www.midwayusafoundation.org/Fundraising

In order to be eligible for participation in this program the following conditions must be met:

• The youth shooting team must be made up of shooters primarily residing in Western Pennsylvania in the 15XXX and 16xxx zip codes.

• Team must be registered with PYSA. If not already registered, the team coach should register online at http://www.pysa.us/forms/team_registration.html  

• Team applying must have an active Team Endowment Account with Midway USA Foundation. If not, the team coach should complete a ‘New Endowment Account Form’ at www.midwayusafoundation.org/start-your-account

• Donor must complete and return the Donor Form along with a donation made payable to PYSA.

• Any amount may be donated.  Donations sent directly to Midway USA Foundation will not receive a match by PYSA. PYSA is allocating $2,000 each month for MUSAF Endowment matching. All donations received under this program will be forwarded to MUSAF and those amounts tallied to determine the monthly donation total. That total will be divided into the $2,000 allocation to determine the match rate for that month. PYSA will then use that rate to calculate our match and send that amount to your MUSAF Endowment. The PYSA match rate will not exceed 1:1. MidwayUSA Foundation will also match the team donation at a match rate of 1:1.

                  PYSA match .75:1                              $375     = Total of $1,375 plus MUSAF match to the Team’s endowment account!
                  MidwayUSA Foundation match          $500 /

• This incentive program will end December 31, 2023 unless otherwise superseded by PYSA.

Adopt-A-Team Program

This is a monthly recurring donation program.  Donors make a monthly donation via PayPal.  Donations continue automatically each month until donor cancels via the PayPal website.

Teams are encouraged to find multiple partners to "adopt" the team.   This can be friends, relatives, local buinesses, sportsman clubs, any person or organization with a PayPal account.

There are no specific amounts in this program, donor decides how much to donate.  Donations are tax deductible and donors will receive a letter at the end of the year stating their annual donation amount.

• Each month donations will receive a 2:1 match by PYSA, up to $12,000 per year. The MidwayUSA Foundation will match the team donation according to matching criteria published on its website, which varies each month.

• Program runs through the end of 2021 or when our funding pool has been exhausted.
